My general comments on your posts

Dear All,

As you know this week you wrote about your daily activities and routines. It was a nice job indeed. Here you will find my general comments on your posts:

1) when the topic is writing about your daily routines, the name implies that you need to use Simple Present Tense. Here you will find a model paragraph. while reading par attention to the use of verbs, all of them are in present simple form:
Getting Ready for the Day
I do many things to get ready for the day. I get up at 6:30 A.M. First, I take a shower. Then I get dressed, fix my hair, and put on my makeup.  At 7:15 A.M., I wake up my husband and my children. I help my children get dressed. Then we have breakfast. At 8:00, I walk my daughter to the bus for school. After that, I drive my son to day care. Finally, I go to school for my 9:00 class. That is my busy morning routine.

2) To tell the time you use this structure: It is 6:30 A.Am/P.M

3) Remember that when you finish your writing, it is yet your first draft. You should revise and edit it for content, grammar, spelling and mechanics (Punctuation, capitalization).

4) Always choose a good title for your writing. The first letter of each word in the title should be capitalized.

5) Start working with a grammar book like Basic Grammar by Betty Azar. It includes many activities for each grammar point.

6) Always check dictionary for spelling of the words and above that for the use of the words. For example, you want to use the verb "arrive" in your sentence. Check this verb to make sure how it is used in the sentence. We do not say "arrive to" but we say "arrive at/in a place"

I wish you the best
